Assessment of Marketing Program |
We are often engaged to evaluate a firm’s marketing organization and process and to offer recommendations for improvement.
We typically begin these assignments by gathering information about the company’s philosophy and approach to getting new work, including the go/no go decision process; reviewing samples of past proposals, presentations, award and publication submissions, etc.; and obtaining information about the infrastructure in place to support the marketing efforts of the firm.
This in-depth evaluation includes interviews with the marketing department staff as well as the technical professionals that routinely use the services of the marketing group.
In addition to this internal review, we also examine statistics related to the company’s overall marketing performance, such as the short-list rate and the win rate; and the firm’s annual marketing costs—both labor and non-labor expenses. We compare this data to industry averages.
Through this thorough analysis, we are able to guide our clients in making the best decisions on their marketing process and department structure.
"Mark and Saskia assessed SRG’s marketing organization and processes resulting in a candid and thorough reflection of our marketing approach. The accurate and straight-forward report and follow-up discussions helped us make changes to our structure and approach, and continue to serve as a resource to us to this day. Their knowledge of the profession through their experience with many of the nation’s best firms gives them (and us) a perspective that is critical to our long term success."
