Amy Stroud

CPSM, ASSOCIATE AIA

Principal Consultant

Strategic. Collaborative. Forward-Thinking. Committed.

Amy is a strategic and compassionate leader with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of design, marketing, and business development. Originally from South Carolina, she moved to New York City early in her career, driven by curiosity and a desire to expand her perspective. That foundation continues to shape her approach—pairing a strong sense of purpose with a deep appreciation for the impact of the built environment.

Her career spans leadership roles across boutique studios, regional multidisciplinary practices, and internationally recognized design firms, including Ennead Architects and Dattner Architects. In these roles, she led marketing and business development efforts and built high-performing, close knit teams—experience that continues to inform her work at Cameron MacAllister Group.

“I care deeply about the people behind the work and the responsibility that comes with shaping the built environment. What drives me is understanding what each client truly needs—not just in the moment, but in a way that can be sustained over time. In my experience, the work is at its best when teams are aligned in how they think, work, and move forward together.”

At the core of Amy’s work is a belief that design and business are deeply intertwined. She brings expertise in firm positioning, business development planning and implementation, strategic messaging, and team development. Working with technical staff, she builds confidence and capability in business development as part of their day-to-day work, while strengthening marketing and business development teams as proactive partners in firm growth and leadership.

A defining aspect of her approach is translating strategy into action. She grounds vision and planning in clear, implementable frameworks that can be sustained in day-to-day practice, bridging the gap between ambition and execution.

Drawing from an early career in landscape design, Amy approaches communication and storytelling with a designer’s sensibility and systems thinking. She is also a committed advocate for sustainability, education, and equity in the AEC industry.

A connector at heart, Amy is known for building trusted relationships and helping organizations move forward with focus and momentum. Whether guiding high-stakes pursuits or supporting long-term growth, she brings empathy, insight, and a clear sense of direction to every engagement.
